Howard Kaufman

Partner, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Kaufman joined Seaport in December 1999. He is responsible for the firm's accounting, finance, administrative and compliance functions and for supporting its partner reporting and communications program. Prior to joining Seaport, Mr. Kaufman was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Lynch & Mayer, Inc., a registered investment advisor that had more than $6.5 billion in assets under management. In that capacity, he was responsible for overseeing the firm's financial, compliance, legal and administrative affairs. He also served as President and as Financial and Operations Principal of Lynch & Mayer Securities Corp., Lynch & Mayer's broker subsidiary. Before working for Lynch & Mayer, Mr. Kaufman served as Financial Vice President of the Carteret Financial Group and several predecessor companies, participating in the structuring of the firm's leveraged equipment leasing arrangements. Prior to joining Carteret Financial, he was employed as an auditor with Price Waterhouse.

Education

Mr. Kaufman, a certified public accountant, holds a BS in accounting from the University of Scranton.
