Switch and Data Helps PAIX Customers Improve Internet Performance

TAMPA, Fla. - February 18, 2008 - Switch and Data (NASDAQ: SDXC), a leading provider of Internet exchange and colocation services, announced that it has enhanced its PAIX Internet Exchange service by providing its customers with access to Renesys Corporation's Internet performance analysis tools. Under the terms of an exclusive co-marketing agreement, PAIX customers will have free access to a special subset of Renesys Routing Intelligence and Market Intelligence tools.

Switch and Data's PAIX customers will have access to a custom suite of Renesys tools including:
• USA peering rankings: Details of which NSPs have the most or fewest networks available within one hop of their peering infrastructure simplify assessment of potential peers.
• Backbone network star graph: Navigating the maze of Internet connectivity is streamlined with color-coded backbone networks. Evaluating size and diversity of potential peers' providers and customer base is smooth and straightforward.
• Raw border gateway protocol (BGP) updates: Analysis of recent network routing updates helps decipher and resolve Internet events. This insight is equivalent to the aggregated power of 250 network looking glasses.

Under the terms of the co-marketing agreement Renesys will locate routing peer data collectors in select Switch and Data PAIX locations and provide a suite of selected Routing and Market Intelligence services to PAIX customers at no charge. Interested PAIX customers can purchase additional advanced Renesys services. This co-marketing agreement is exclusive to Switch and Data in the six markets with PAIX Internet exchanges: Atlanta, Dallas, New York, Northern Virginia, the San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle.
